Community Policies

The Sortium community is a collaborative and supportive space for professionals to connect and share insights. The following policies are designed to ensure that all interactions within the community are productive, respectful, and aligned with our shared goals.

Membership Policy

  1. Eligibility: Membership is open to professionals interested in collaboration, learning, and sharing knowledge related to our field. Sortium reserves the right to approve or deny membership based on the alignment of professional interests.

  2. Account Information: Members must provide accurate information upon registration and are responsible for keeping their account details up-to-date.

  3. One Account Per Member: Each member is allowed one account. Duplicate accounts will be removed.

  4. Member Responsibility: Members are responsible for all activity conducted through their accounts and for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Participation Policy

  1. Active Participation: We encourage regular participation as active engagement is key to a thriving community. Inactivity over an extended period may result in removal from the community.

  2. Language: All communication within the community should be conducted in English unless specified otherwise, to ensure maximum comprehension and participation.

  3. Event Participation: Members who RSVP for events must attend or provide timely notice of cancellation. Repeated no-shows may lead to restricted access to future events.

Content and Conduct Policy

  1. Prohibited Content: Content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on intellectual property rights, invasive of privacy, or otherwise injurious or objectionable is strictly prohibited.

  2. Behavior: Conduct that undermines the purpose of the community, such as bullying, abuse, or harassment of any kind, will lead to immediate removal and possible legal action.

  3. Advertising and Solicitation: Unsolicited advertising or solicitation of any products or services is not allowed unless specifically permitted by Sortium.

Data and Privacy Policy

  1. Personal Data: All personal information collected by the community will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

  2. Data Usage: Data collected from the community will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes without explicit consent from the member.

  3. Confidentiality: Members must respect the confidentiality of discussions, especially when proprietary or sensitive information is shared within a closed group or conversation.

Intellectual Property Policy

  1. Respect for IP: Members must respect the intellectual property rights of others. Sharing of copyrighted material without authorization is prohibited.

  2. Content Ownership: By posting content in the community, members grant Sortium a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute said content within the community.

  3. Attribution: Proper attribution must be given for any third-party content shared within the community.

Enforcement Policy

  1. Moderation: Sortium moderators will enforce policies and may take appropriate action, including removal of content, temporary suspension, or permanent ban of members for policy violations.

  2. Dispute Resolution: Sortium will handle disputes arising within the community in a fair and impartial manner. Decisions by the moderation team are final.

  3. Policy Violations: Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent removal from the community.

Changes to Policies

Sortium reserves the right to make changes to these policies at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes and encouraged to review the updated policies.

Agreement

By accessing or using the Sortium community, you agree to abide by these policies, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Failure to comply with these policies may result in suspension or termination of your access to the community.
